The Gold Environmental Award confirms that Story Painting Group Ltd have assessed its environmental impact, and have developed targets and objectives for improved performance, appropriate and proportionate to the business and its activities, the award’s requirements are:
That the business has satisfied all the requirements for the Silver award; those being:
- We have set targets and objectives that are relevant to our businesses aspects and impacts.
- We have tasks in place to achieve these targets (Environmental Management Programmes).
- We have appropriate communication within our business and clear ownership of our developing Environmental Management System

- Within our business we have ways of identifying environmental training needs, and that in general we have a good level of staff awareness.
- We demonstrate that we have procedures for monitoring and measuring our performance appropriate to our objectives and targets.
- We have a procedure in place for carrying out internal environmental audits relating to key business issues
- We have a system in place for identifying and dealing with non conformances
- We demonstrate that we have procedures for the control of documentation and relevant documents.
- We understand the importance of management review and areable to produce a summary of the review outputs
