Story Painting Group Wins Contract At Richard Rose Academy
Carlisle-based Story Painting Group has recently been awarded new painting contracts worth in excess of £1 million including the painting of the new Richard Rose Central Academy in Carlisle – the flagship building in the Cumbria Academies programme. The new £27m academy is being built by Kier Construction and Story Painting Group has been chosen to supply its specialist skills to paint the steelwork, walls, ceilings and floors.
The works associated with the new academy, together with other recently acquired local contracts, has helped to secure jobs within the Group in Cumbria. Painting of the academy starts later in June and will run through to November.
The company, which is headed by Managing Director Rob Story, has also secured new painting contracts at Manchester Business School, a number of Tesco stores throughout the UK, various schools in Sheffield, BAE Systems in Barrow and a new 167-bedroom Premier Travel Inn hotel in London.
Managing Director Rob Story said, “It’s an exciting time of year for us, we’ve received lots of new and varied contracts recently and the Richard Rose Central Academy is one that I am very keen to start. We’ve painted many schools and academies before and our skilled team of painters are very experienced in the specific needs of educational facilities. We’ve also won quite a lot of work in the Manchester area – everything from traditional painting to specialist skills such as fire protective and hygienic coatings.”
